  • a Diet Rebel who is committed to keeping all communications weight-neutral

  • pursuing intentional weight-loss solutions

Intuitive Eating Coach

Hi, I'm Dr. Kerri!

I promise I've been there.

When I first started to rebel against dieting, I felt alone. In part because that was back in 2000. Not only was there no social media back then, but also, the internet was really used for nothing more than academics and Hotmail.

I ended up straddling the line between not dieting and not eating intuitively for a very long time. I felt alone and often out of control.  

In addition, when I relapsed from my binge eating disorder after my son was born, the only solution offered was Overeaters Annonymous (OA). While I loved having a community there, OA turned out to be just another diet. This led to the same results - weight regain, bingeing and feeling angry and ashamed.

This time when I returned to the anti-diet space, I found Intuitive Eating. With the 10 principles of IE and a counsellor who understood the process, I slowly started to make peace with my food and body.

For this reason, I've created Mastering Life As A Rebel - to provide you with an intuitive eating support group I wish I'd had. 

To provide you with a group of like-minded people learning to speak the same language as you are—a place for you to continue your IE learning and practice your IE skills.

FAQ

Here are the answers to some of the most commonly asked questions about this program:

Will I lose weight? Expand

Like all my programs, Mastering Life As A Rebel is weight neutral. That means we don't celebrate weight loss or criticize it. Alternatively, we strive to accept that your body will find its own size when you look after your body's needs. Weight is not a measurement of success, and only weight-neutral language will be tolerated.

I have an eating disorder, can I still join? Expand

Most North Americans will fall into the category of disordered eating (occasional binge, weight cycling, swinging between restriction to overeating). This program is designed for them. Eating disorders that are active or newly in recovery need more personal and nuanced care. I'd be happy to chat with you about resources that are available to you. You can book a call with me here. 

Will I be receiving any treatment, individual recommendations or healthare advice in the program? Expand

No, this program is not a treatment program. Instead, it's an education program meant to give you insight into some of the factors and challenges surrounding diet & wellness culture and intentional weight loss. Mastering Your Life As A Rebel™ is designed to empower and equip you to have better discussions with your own healthcare team. Should you wish to work with Dr. Kerri as a Naturopathic Doctor and are a resident of the Province of Ontario, you can book a call with her here.

Can I run this through my naturopathic insurance coverage? Expand

The short answer is no. I've priced the program to be as accessible as it can be. Group programs do not qualify as Naturopathic Services in Ontario and cannot be submitted for reimbursement.

Some past participants were able to use their HSA. Please contact your insurance company directly for more information.

I'm not familiar with (or am really new to) Intuitive Eating, HAES™ and Body Acceptance. Will I be lost? Expand

This program is designed for people familiar with the concepts of Intuitive Eating, Health At Every Size™ and Body Acceptance. Although they may still feel clumsy with implementing them, they're largely on board with the Anti-diet movement and have some experience.

A bonus of this program is access to the other Diet Rebellion programs. This means extra support is always at your fingertips if you struggle a bit.

On the other hand, if all of this is new to you but you're intrigued by what this program offers, then book a call with me to help you start ditching diet culture.

How long will I have access to this course? Expand

You'll have access as long as you are a member! The videos will be automatically uploaded to the member portal each month, along with any documents or resources, so that you can watch them and revisit them anytime you want.

How do I access the course materials? Expand

There are two (2) live calls every month over Zoom, and the details for those will be sent by e-mail and through group chat. All videos, worksheets and/or resources will be uploaded to the membership site.

Once you register for the program, you will be emailed login details. Once you open the email, you can log in to the portal and find past recordings. Additionally, Living Life As A Rebel is also instantly available to you as a Bonus, so you can start consuming great content right away.
